Until Death or Zombies Do We Part

“Until death or zombies do we part.” Any couple that sneaks zombies into their vows is my kinda couple. Kim and Quinn chose The Barn at Red Gate Farms for their Savannah destination wedding. Kim and Quinn were all smiles from the second their eyes met as she emerged from the barn. The couple’s friend, Gary, did a great job officiating and I don’t think they stopped smiling for the remainder of the day.

After photos on the grounds surrounding the barn, DJ Brad Tatom fired up the music and kept the party going into the night.

Congratulations Kim and Quinn! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful day.

Forsyth Park and Soho South Wedding

It’s hard to top Forsyth Park when it comes to a truly “Savannah” location for your wedding. Whether it’s just the two of you and an officiant or you’ve got 200 guests, Forsyth Park can accommodate your wedding. It was the perfect venue for Tiffany and Tyson’s elegant Savannah wedding.

After they exchanged vows we strolled around the park to capture some gorgeous photos as Tiffany and Tyson shared in these  first moments as husband and wife.

The reception was held at Soho South Cafe where they shared in some good food, big laughs, and lots of love and fellowship with family and friends.

Forsyth Park and The Whitman Wedding

Throughout most of my time living in Savannah, hurricanes have not been a major threat. Over the past few years that has changed. Last week we all watched and waited as Hurricane Dorian slowly headed toward the US. Thankfully the monster storm turned and headed to the north, staying well off our beautiful coast. I’m sure it caused plenty of tense moments for couples who had planned for months to have their wedding in areas that were being evacuated.

Plamena and Justin had been planning their destination wedding for over a year. Family and friends would be flying in from near and far to celebrate with them. As the sun rose Saturday morning you couldn’t even imagine that just days before Savannah was a ghost town. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and Plamena and Justin’s day was so amazing.

Gorgeous Ships of the Sea Museum Wedding

I was doing my best to remain inconspicuous as I hid behind the jetty on Tybee Island’s north beach. I had a time and a photo of who I was looking for, but the waiting is always a little nerve wracking and exciting. I spotted them walking down the beach. They stopped just over the rocks from where I was and that’s when Adam got down on bended knee and asked Heather to marry him. This past weekend Heather and Adam said “I do” during a beautiful ceremony in the garden at the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum.

Spring Harper Fowlkes House Wedding

Savannah offers so many amazing venues for weddings. Some of my favorites are the historic sites including houses, such as the Harper Fowlkes. Its garden is beautiful and was the perfect location for Haley and Chris’s Savannah wedding. After getting ready at The Desoto they chose to have a First Look and read special vows to one another before the ceremony. Once they finished they stored them away in a wine box, which they will open together to celebrate their first anniversary.

Spring is such a beautiful time in Savannah. As you move through the season different flowers blooming and all kinds of fragrances fill the air. One of my favorite is Confederate Jasmine, which is currently in bloom and makes for one of my favorite backdrops. Following their ceremony everyone made their way over to Soho South Café for the reception.

Congratulations to Haley and Chris! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day.
