Joining Forces

Man are we living in some strange times! People are walking around wearing masks, stores are out of toilet paper, and some of our favorite restaurants are closed. The bustling historic streets of my beloved Savannah are way too quiet.

Our reality has temporarily been altered and we have no idea when it will go back to normal. All of this uncertainty has caused a lot of anxiety during what should be an exciting time for those planning 2020 weddings.

I know things are super stressful right now, so I want to reassure you that we’re here for you! We’ve already been working with our fellow wedding vendors to schedule new dates for the spring weddings that have been affected by gathering restrictions and venue closures.

Things are still a bit foggy as we move forward into the year, and honestly it’s a bit much for a solo photographer to handle alone, which is why I’ve joined forces with fellow Savannah wedding photographer Angela Hopper in order to better serve our couples.

Winter Harper Fowlkes and Soho South Wedding

Alyssa's room was buzzing with activity as the ladies finished up their final preparations for the wedding. Things were a bit different on the other side of the Desoto, in Jordan’s room. St. James and Knights of Columbus Wedding

Ryan took a deep breath as the doors to the sanctuary opened and he got his first view of Ashley in her wedding dress. She seemed to float as her dad walked her down the aisle. She paused as she neared her groom and shared a moment with her mom.

Bubbles filled the air and Ryan pumped his fist as the newly weds shared a kiss outside the church. After months of planning and maybe a little stress, it was finally time to celebrate.

Lafayette Square and The Brice Wedding

As the carriage rolled into sight, the last guests left the protection of the small tent covering the coffee bar and made their way to their seats as a light rain fell over Lafayette Square. Bagpiper Caleb Harkleroad played Highland Cathedral as the kilted grooms made their way down the aisle.

Gio and Juan Carlos have a mantra, “Happiness is a Lifestyle” and certainly showed as they expressed their love and said “I do” surrounded by family and friends. They didn’t allow the rain to dampen their day as we captured some joyful and romantic photos before heading to The Brice to continue the celebration.

Fairy Tale Forsyth Park Vic's on the River Wedding

The bright sun shined through the spray from the Forsyth Park fountain and highlighted Nicole’s veil, which was lovingly made by her mom using lace from her own wedding dress. Nicole stood before John on this beautiful February day as she read her vows. “My life is a fairy tale and you’re my Prince Charming”.

From Facetime calls with Grandma to special moments with Mom and Dad, it was a day right out of a fairy tale. One filled with love, joy, and lots of twirling and dipping.
