I love summertime family photo sessions. It’s such a joy for me to be able to capture memories for a family during their vacation. This past week had planned to meet this adorable family on Jekyll Island’s Driftwood Beach. It’s one of my favorite locations on the island and I always love photographing there. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans for us. As we drove along the beach you could see the waves crashing onto the sand. The choppy ocean was a sure sign of heavy winds. As we walked onto the beach I knew immediately that the wind was too much for a comfortable photo session. After a quick chat we made our way to the other side of the island and the beautiful grounds of the Jekyll Island Club. The cover under the old Oaks was perfect and the sunset over the marsh was gorgeous.
