Mighty Eighth Museum Wedding

Couples select a venue for lots of different reasons, such as location, beauty, or cost. Candi and Mike chose the National Museum of the Mighty Eight Air Force for a much deeper reason. Not only was Mike a pilot in the military, but Candi’s dad flew a P-51 Mustang in the Mighty Eighth Air Force during WWII. So what better place for Candi and Mike’s love story to move into a new chapter than at the museum honoring those that served in the Mighty Eighth.

Candi and Mike dated and even attended prom together before life took them on separate journeys. Now having reunited, their love story picked up where it left off. Candi and Mike chose to have a “first look”, which worked out perfectly, and allowed us to capture some beautiful photos in the garden before afternoon showers popped up. We were also able to capture a photo with a P-51 in the background to honor Candi’s dad.

Candi and Mike said “I do” in the Chapel of the Fallen Eagles, where a stained glass window memorializes the 355th Fighter Group, in which Candi’s dad served. After the heartfelt ceremony they celebrated their love with family and friends.

Congratulations to Candi and Mike! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
