I am proud to say that photography and art is my love, my calling. After meeting my muse, the lovely Rebecca, I began to take on more weddings and engagement sessions. Falling in love allowed me to open my eyes and experience the love of others through my lens in an all new way. A month before our son was born, I left the newspaper to spend more time with my family, and to focus on growing Photos by Rich Burkhart.

Driftwood Beach Elopement

Jekyll Island’s Driftwood Beach is such a beautiful and unique location for a wedding. Since Devin and Nick share such a love for the beach and ocean, Jekyll Island was the perfect spot for their destination wedding. They were married in the shadow from the roots of one of the many trees along the beach. Immediate family joined them for this intimate and special day. Following their ceremony they celebrated with a family dinner at The Westin Jekyll Island.

Congratulations Devin and Nick! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day!

Congregation Mickve Israel Wedding

A song comes to mind when I think of Tara and Jason. I’m a Jack Johnson fan and because these two are just so perfect and absolutely complement each other, I think of “Better Together”. They’re so sweet and easy going. It was a joy to be there for them on their very special day.

Congratulations Tara and Jason!

Pin Point Heritage Museum Wedding

The Pin Point Heritage Museum is housed in an old oyster and crab factory located in the Pin Point community. It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot overlooking the Moon River. Elizabeth and Paul met one another during an event at the museum and as they say the rest is history. When it came to time for the loving couple to select a venue for their wedding the choice was an easy one. They would be married at the same place as their first meeting. They had a beautiful and sweet ceremony surrounded by friends and family followed by a laid back reception including low country boil and oysters. Elizabeth even made her own cake stand from oyster shells.

The evening was absolutely gorgeous and the Pin Point Heritage Museum was the perfect location for their intimate wedding!

Congratulations Elizabeth and Paul! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day!
