Savannah Engagement Session

Sara-&-Andres-16

Savannah is such a beautiful place, and being fortunate enough to live here, my wife and I sometimes forget just how special it is. Sara and Andres, who were recently engaged in their home state of Ohio, were so excited after spending one day in town that they decided they wanted to schedule an engagement session. I met them near Emmet Park and we began to explore the beauty and history of some of my favorite downtown spots. We had a wonderful time chatting and documenting their love as we wandered the streets, in spite of the late afternoon heat.

Congratulations Sara and Andres! Thank you for sharing your love and your time in Savannah with us.

Tybee Island Family Photography

Moore-Family-Tybee-40

This beautiful extended family is spending their summer vacation relaxing on Tybee Island.  We’d hoped for the stunning last light on Tybee’s North Beach, but Mother Nature had other plans.  In between bouts of rain, I captured the love of the individual families in their gorgeous beach house.  Everyone was a good sport when the raindrops began to fall.  Their love for each other and happiness of simply being together brightened up what would have otherwise been a dreary day as far as the weather goes.  We all had fun capturing their memories in photos.  Thank you, Moore family, for allowing me to photograph your family vacation!

Old Fort Jackson Wedding

Stephanie-&-Seth-14

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know a couple. During the process of every wedding I begin to build a relationship through the engagement session, planning, and of course, all of the time spent together on one of the most important days of their lives. So though I am always excited for a couple’s wedding day to arrive, I must admit I was super excited for Stephanie and Seth’s. My wife, Rebecca and I had a great time with them during their engagement session. They had real chemistry in front of the camera, but I was most excited about the location of their wedding. 3 years ago, on May 7, 2011 my wife and I had our reception at Old Fort Jackson, and I just couldn’t wait to go back and document a wedding at a place that means so much to us.

Our day started out documenting Stephanie and the ladies as they got ready at Savannah Bed & Breakfast. Then I ran over to the Lucas Theatre to spend a little time with Seth and his brothers before we all went back to Chatham Square for the “First Look.” They were all so relaxed and happy, making it so easy that I already had some pretty amazing photos before the ceremony even started. We arrived at Old Fort Jackson for the ceremony and reception and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! From the ceremonial firing of the cannon after the ceremony, to the sparkler sendoff, it was an absolutely perfect evening for capturing so many fun and special moments.

Congratulations Stephanie and Seth! Thank you for allowing Rebecca and I to relive our celebration through your amazing day.
